or that much at all anyway, but the forecast was scattered showers through the Carolina's. Being me, I thought I'd hopscotch thru the intermittent rain and I almost did. I'd hit a heavy shower/storm, then clear for miles before running into another. The trip back was more rain intense -in addition to the Carolina's there was a lot between South Hill and Virginia Beach - I'd be on the leading edge, then catch up to the storm ahead, pass through to the leading edge of that one, and so on. These were the storms that had ravaged Kentucky and were sweeping through the mid-Atlantic. Most water from the sky my car has seen since it was new. Likely more than it's seen cumulatively over the years.
